- "Don't pull it off. Please. Don't touch it. Don't touch it. Please just get me out of here."
- ―Bootleg Futterman
Bootleg Futterman is one of the Victims and the primary objective in Drill the Futterman. He is a man dressed in a pair of blue Futterman overalls and a Futterman mask tied to his neck confined to a chair.
Background[]
Other than being aware of Mother Gooseberry, not much is known about Bootleg Futterman or how he became part of the Trial.
Physical Description[]
Bootleg Futterman is a male in a light blue pair of short overalls with the legs rolled up into cuffs and a yellow outline of Dr. Futterman on the front chest pocket. He is wearing brown oxford style shoes with long grey socks and his head is covered by a large Dr. Futterman mask that is tied to his neck via a rope. The mask is the cartoon appearance of Dr. Futterman, with animation style black and white eyes, yellow beak with a toothy grin, and a light blue top hat with a yellow band. He sits in a brown leather padded chair with cuffs on his wrists and ankles, and a strap around his stomach, with his hands holding onto bars at the end of the armrests.
Characteristics[]
Like other victims, Bootleg Futterman is a complete NPC that cannot be interacted at all physically. Due to the limited interaction in comparison to the other Victims that have interactive dialogue, there is not much shown in the way of his personality beyond his fear of being strapped to the chair and occasionally talking about the pain on his face or why he was not able to see anything.
He is fearful and openly hopes for the Reagents to free him from his restraints or euthanize him to put him out of his misery.
Story[]
Being found in all versions of Drill the Futterman, he can be seen upon immediately entering the canal waiting area through the entrance shuttles through the office window. While his vision is limited due to the mask, he can still recognize the Reagents by hearing them and begs them to free or euthanize him.
While the Reagents are completing the assignments needed to reach him, he can still be heard talking about the constant pain on his face, and Mother Gooseberry possibly took his eyes out due to lack of vision but not realizing he was actually wearing the mask.
After the Reagents hit all of the required targets and reach Mother Gooseberry's office, they must press the button switch to begin the drilling process. The drill is inserted into his spine, which causes him to slump over in the chair after the process is finished. The reagents then leave him in the office as they escape the challenge.
Trivia[]
- In one of his dialogues, he mentions that the stitches were coming off, which implies that Mother Gooseberry was able to drill his face off like she did to other previous Reagents in the Trial and managed to survive.
