PERRY- I think he's sleeping in there. Pissing in the potted plants.
AVELLANOS- I know.
PERRY- I'm supposed to be reporting to Easterman.
AVELLANOS- Worst possible time for his fragile, neurotic bullshit.
PERRY- He's hoarded gin and amphetamines. I don't think he's eating anything else.
AVELLANOS- That's nothing new. That man's been poisoning himself since he got
here. His liver must look like roadkill.
PERRY- That doesn't worry you?
AVELLANOS- I don't know. Kermit Roosevelt was blind drunk for the entire Iranian coup. Gottlieb lives with his brain in the cookie jar. Might be clandestine activities sometimes benefit from a little substance abuse.
PERRY- How bad's he gotta get?
AVELLANOS- Before what?
PERRY- Before Easterman gets an enforced vacation.
AVELLANOS- I'm monitoring it. For now we need to tell Scarfiotti about Amelia. He still thinks this is only a matter of malfunctioning radios..."
