FARM FAMILY BRUTALLY SLAIN

SAN ANTONIO, TX (AP)

A deranged airman brutally murdered a family of five in the early hours of Monday morning, sexually molesting several members of the family. Several animals may also have received unwanted attention.

The airman second class, Jerome Gillette, 37, was found naked and disoriented among the hogs outside the scene of the murder. He is being held in an unknown location, as protection against vigilante justice.

Gillette, a World War II veteran and instructor at Lackland Airbase, claims to have no memory of the crime, though physical evidence makes his guilt obvious. He told officers his last memory was Sunday night's fireworks, and being offered a piece of chewing gum from a woman in white, before he "blacked out" and woke up days later among the hogs.
