Dear Jameson,
I was frankly a little surprised by your letter regarding our "Cuban adventures." The products functioned as ordered, even if, admittedly, the incorrect targets were killed. This has always been as much art as science, and some degree of experimentation continues out into the field.
Most importantly, none of the Reagents or their activity has been linked in any way to Murkoff or the Agency. I would not consider anything that happened in Cuba a failure, but rather a further Trial. We honed techniques, we gained valuable data, (and considering the exchange rate, at a shockingly affordable price, notwithstanding human life.)
