BARANCZYK: I'm sorry, a totem of...?
AVELLANOS: Olivier, we have a specific request coming from the Agency to train our Reagents in the use of knives. This is coming direct from Bissell. Depending on how November goes, we could be in clover for years. I have projected budget numbers here.
EASTERMAN: The Reagents won't be themselves is the thing. They'll be in masks. It will be a frame-persona who wields the knife, a permormative[sic] act of disassociation. They don't have to trust themselves, they don't even have to be themselves. They only have to trust me, and be the people that they're killing. A performative, ritualistic suicide; ceremonial ego death. And then they trust no-one but me, and even when we release them, they won't escape me, because they won't want to escape me. They'll have me inside them forever.
BARANCZYK: Um. Miss Avellanos, maybe I could see those budgets?"
