The Drug Mules are victims in The Outlast Trials and the primary objectives of Poison the Medicine. They are the two former Reagents have been strapped naked in the autopsy table with transparent body bags covering their faces and partially their body.

Background

Like most Victims in the Trials, the origins for the Drug Mules are completely unknown. However, it is very likely that they are another previously batch of Reagents after mentioning the arm wrestling minigame, the role of Ex-Pop, and the Sleep Room. One of their dialogue implies that they had took part of this trial before but were carried away from being addicted to the drugs that the Murkoff Corporation decides to use them to fill the role of "Drug Mules."

Physical description

Due to the low transparency body bags around them, physical description is very difficult. However what can be gathered is both are Caucasian males likely in their mid-20s. Their skin is very pale, likely from malnourishment. Their build appears to be average and their stomach area has been marked with an arrow to direct Reagents with the saw blade.

Characteristics

Both of the Drug Mules are timid, anxious and seem to be horrified of the actions that take place. The first Mule is able to speak both a mix of insults and desperate begging for aid and the Reagents to stop the process of stuffing drugs. The second is possibly mute or in such a state of fear they are reduced to desperate mumbles.

Story

The Reagents are tasked to hide the drug packets inside the cargo hold in Trial: Poison The Medicine. Soon as they arrive in the autopsy room, the Reagents uses the sawblades to hold down and cut open their chest cavity before stuffing each of them with half of the required drug packets inside while avoiding Franco Barbi patrolling throughout the ship. After completing the assignment, the Reagents evacuated the area and leave the drug mules who had slowly died after.

Trivia

• Mules is a term used to describe a person smuggling a contraband accross the border by concealing them inside their body or belongings. However, when used for smuggling illegal drugs, they are referred to as "Drug Mules."
• When counting all victims that were killed in the Poison The Medicine trial, it is possible that all four of them were Reagents who worked together in the same trial.
  • Both victims who are used as targets in Franco's introduction also mention that they had also tasted some of the drugs.
