SCARFIOTTI- It could be built. And very quickly.
(humming sound)
SCARFIOTTI- Not cheaply.
AVELLANOS- That's what I said. I think Jameson's giving us an in with the Agency. He likes what we're doing here.
(Humming sounds continue)
SCARFIOTTI- Or he sees something else he likes.
AVELLANOS- Moses.
SCARFIOTTI- You don't see it? He sniffs around you like a hungry dog.
AVELLANOS- I don't think Agency policy would be affected by... one agent's personal peccadilloes.
(Humming sounds continue)
SCARFIOTTI- Whatever gets us the money. What the fuck are you humming about, Hendrick?
EASTERMAN- Sorry?
SCARFIOTTI- You're humming and you're rocking in your chair, it's making me crazy.
EASTERMAN- I think Winter Kills may be very fruitful. It addresses a deeply rooted and universal fear we have not yet fully explored in the Trials. It's a giant blank spot in our tableau of cultural trauma. Sudden, mass-scale annihilation. Followed by a grinding, endless winter of ever-more pain. Are you sure The Board will approve it?
AVELLANOS- If it's bringing in money, The Board will approve it.
EASTERMAN- We may need to recruit more Reagents. Mortality rates will spike.
AVELLANO[sic]- That won't be a problem. ""
