Factory Futterman, also known as The Deviant, is one of the victims in The Outlast Trials and the is the primary objective of "Pervert the Futterman" trial. He is a nude male in a more sinister version of the Futterman mask attached to a metal framework on a conveyor belt.
Background[]
Other than being aware of Mother Gooseberry, not much is known about Factory Futterman or how he became part of the trial. Due to him being referred to as a sex toy and his perversion dialogues, it is likely that his previous history before the events in the game involved scandalous actions or prostitution.
Physical description[]
Factory Futterman is a caucasian man of average height, likely in his late 20's, and appears to be slightly overweight and bald, although the mask makes it difficult to tell. Factory Futterman is completely nude aside from a Futterman-like mask and head covering from what appears to be slight amounts of black paint. On his body are bite marks on the right pectoral, left to the navel, and two on his right forearm. He got strapped into the machine by the nails applied to both of his hands and feet, which were able to prevent him from fully struggling out of the conveyor. There is writing carved into his skin that includes "Daddy's Little Bitch" on his left pectoral, "Fuck it" above his navel, and "Daddy" underneath. As the players progress through the trial and "humiliate" Factory Futterman, his body sustains heavy damage from intense lacerations, genitalia being cut off, metallic accessories being nailed into his torso and hot wax encasing his entire body.
Characteristics[]
Like other victims, Factory Futterman is a complete NPC that cannot be interacted physically. From his dialogues, it seems Factory Futterman is obsessively perverted and masochistic, as most of his dialogue is flirtatious quotes, moans, and comments about becoming sexy. In addition to these remarks, he expresses a desire for Mother Gooseberry to see him in this state, believing it would "make momma so happy." Based on this, Factory Futterman is most likely suffering from Stockholm Syndrome towards Gooseberry in particular. He takes pleasure in the painful process of the trial and only becomes nervous once inside the incinerator, although he will maintain a calm tone of voice and continue to flirt with Reagents in the trial.
Story[]
Like other Victims in the Trials there is no detailed backstory for Factory Futterman. It is likely, however, that Factory Futterman's past involved scandalous or perverted actions. It is unknown how the Murkoff Corporation or Mother Gooseberry found Factory Futterman.
Trivia[]
- Factory Futterman is arguably the calmest of the victims, showing no resentment toward the Reagents and only expressing confusion and questioning the Reagents at the worst.
- The usage of boiling hot wax, body writing, and the "erotic novelties" are all correlated to a more extreme form of sexual foreplay.
- Interestingly, the mask and headwear of Factory Futterman do not hold any correlation to sexual themes of the 1950's.
- In the game files, the file names for his dialogues and animations are comically labelled as Fuckerman.
- The rest of the textures labeled him as a Toy Slave.
- When the player pays attention to Doctor Futterman on the television or intercom, he is indirectly advertised as the Doctor Futterman Fun Massage Doll.
