John Bowers was the first victim of "The Hat Box Murders," Bowers was, like the rest, a U.S. Army war veteran admitted to the Spindeltop Psychotherapy Clinic.

Story[]

John Bowers was in the Middle East fighting during the Gulf War, before returning to the United States. The serious mental problems he suffered forced him to rest at the Psychotherapy Clinic in Spindeltop, Texas. As a patient of Dr. Claymore, Bowers underwent experimental sleep therapy produced by the Murkoff Corporation.

According to Chris Walker himself, Bowers was one of the most affected in the asylum, cruelly persecuted by all those he himself killed. His head was stored in the home of Murkoff's own security guard, who murdered him as the first victim of what would become known as "The Hat Box Murders."
