The following article lists all minor characters featured in the Outlast series.
Outlast[]
Bruce Newhouse[]
Bruce Newhouse is a doctor who previously worked at Mount Massive Asylum. He was in charge of caring for Shirley Pierce and Misses Jackson. Pierce often reported to having unsettling nightmares and unfamiliar deep cuts on her body, which he classified as bedroom-inspired hysteria. In actuality, Bruce was subjecting her and Jackson to Project MKUltra experimentation. In one of his letters, Newhouse addressed Father Clarke thanking him for his sermons with patients, as well as assuring him that they'll increase the chemical restraints or even lobotomize certain patients if the Priest ever feels threatened by them.
Carl Houston[]
Carl Houston worked for Murkoff Psychiatric Systems at Mount Massive as an observing physician. Two of his known patients were William Hope and Frank Manera.
Cindy Eisner[]
Cindy Eisner was one of Murkoff's employees at Mount Massive Asylum who worked with Morphogenic Engine systems. Kurt Vigalondo messaged her wishing to compare their notes regarding Billy's drug-induced dreams.
D. Brunton[]
D. Brunton is a former Murkoff employee who resigned after being informed by Grant Williard about a possible flesh-eating disease at his work environment.
Daniels[]
A Murkoff PMC that was sent to contain the Walrider in the Underground Lab. One of his squadmates reports he's been taken out, implying that Daniels is either wounded or killed in action. He's never directly seen nor addressed, but is featured in one of the game's unused dialogues.
David Annapurna[]
David was an orderly who worked at Mount Massive Asylum. He filed a petition for dismissal three times without receiving any response due to Murkoff's level of secrecy, which prompted Annapurna to believe that some patients were being abused. After threatening to resign and contact the press, Murkoff had him captured and processed as a mentally unstable patient. In an email to P. Walsh, Trager stated that David's forced subjugation to the treatment should continue until the time of his death. His story bares resemblance to Waylon Park's; both were employees at Mount Massive who wished to expose Murkoff's misconduct, before being processed as patients themselves.
Grant Williard[]
One of Murkoff's employees. Williard sent an email to D. Brunton regarding a possible flesh-eating disease at his work environment.
Helen Granat[]
Helen Granat was an employee of Murkoff Corporation's Legal Mitigation Department at Mount Massive. Granat sent an e-mail to Group 8416 revolving around the casualty issue of Project Walrider and was responsible for closing the art program inducted at the Asylum, which prompted Neil Wolfram to send an appeal in hopes of reverting their decision. Jeremy Blaire advised her to forward any incoming information from Lisa Park to him regarding Waylon Park's resignation. In one of the documents, Helen described the company's intentions to phase out Rudolf Wernicke's structural and financial responsibilities from Mount Massive Asylum, as well as plans to expand Project Walrider at a new facility in an unknown location.
Jameson Lawler[]
Jameson Lawler was an agent of the CIA who served as a mediator between the Agency and the Murkoff Corporation during the Cold War. He interviewed and subsequently discharged H.J. Easterman to research brainwashing in Hong Kong[1], and commissioned him to develop their own methodology of brainwashing - or ideological remodelling - alongside the CIA , and with the help of Murkoff. On August 29th, 1955, he met in a conference with Easterman and Avellanos, where they explained Project Lathe and the benefit Reagents would give to the CIA[2].
Lawler is informed of Avellanos' proposal to the Board of using Murkoff Pharmaceutical to create heroin the Agency wishes to obtain to sell in Europe and the Middle East[3], however after attempting to go around her back and obtain a different contractor, Avellanos threatens him with potentially leaking his past personal visitations.[4] He also contacts Avellanos after an incident, stating that something this horrific cannot happen again[5], to which she dismisses him and reassures that with enough money Murkoff can insure that it won't. Avellanos informs him of Sinyala's plans for Program GEISTER, to which he voices support for[6].
On December 5th, 1959, Lawler proposes a new kind of therapy to Avellanos after discussing agents that could preform their objective despite the threat of freezing to death[7].
On April 15, 1958, Lawler invested funds for the continued research of Dr. Wernicke's Morphogenic Engine as part of Project MKUltra.
Jackson[]
Misses Jackson was one of Mount Massive's patients in the 1950s who was frequently subjected to Project MKUltra experimentation along with Shirley Pierce. One of the documents states that she and Pierce were placed in a hypnotic state, where Jackson was to remain in a deep hypnotic sleep as Pierce attempted to wake or, failing that, kill her with a provided firearm (which was actually an unloaded pneumatic pistol). Pierce could not wake Jackson and fired the weapon and, having carried out the instructions to the letter, fell into a hypnotic sleep herself. After waking neither of them remembered any of the events prior to the hypnosis.
In a diary excerpt, Pierce mentions Jackson's failed marriage, after her husband had left her for a younger woman and was never willing to talk about it.

Jermain Dallaire
Jermain Dallaire[]
Jermain Dallaire was the Deputy Director of Colonic Hydrotherapy at Mount Massive Asylum between the late 1960s and early 1970s. His portrait indicates that he has exophthalmos. Jermain's last name is a reference to Hugo Dallaire, one of Red Barrels' co-founders.
Jennifer Roland[]
Jennifer Roland is a Murkoff employee who worked as a pathologist at Mount Massive Asylum around the time of the incident took place. According to one of her documents, Jennifer had grown tired of Wernicke's theories and their results, and put in a request for leave. She was reassigned to another Murkoff facility with the rest of the female employees after the psychosomatic effects of the Morphogenic Engine on females were revealed. A later document reveals that she was involved in the experiment at Temple Gate.
Kurt Vigalondo[]
Kurt Vigalondo was one of Murkoff's employees at Mount Massive Asylum who worked with Morphogenic Engine systems. He messaged Cindy Eisner wishing to compare their notes over some drinks regarding Billy's drug-induced dreams. J. Billings mentioned to Vigalondo that other individuals who were within the asylum's proximity developed delusions revolving around the Walrider, leading him to question if its effects are somehow airborne.
Neil Wolfram[]
Neil Wolfram was one of the doctors working at Mount Massive Asylum. He sent a request to Helen Granat wishing to reinstate Patient Art Program at the asylum, as he believed that it helped Martin Archimbaud make a significant progress in his therapy sessions. At some point, Wolfram interviewed F. Ford's patient, Dennis.

Olivier W Barancyzk
Olivier W. Baranczyk[]
Olivier W. Baranczyk was Assistant Director of Behavioral Medicines from 1954-1963. Though he was primarily situated in Mount Massive Hospital during the mid to late 1950's, he would have frequent contact with both Los Alamos, and Sinyala, acting as a sort of intermediary between the two and higher ups at Murkoff, holding enough power to decide whether or not to recommend the continuation of LATHE to the board of Murkoff.
He has a cordial relationship with A. Bradley Avellanos, inquiring about Paperclip activities and stating that if she assists him that he will inform her about the details he knows about[8].
He seems to have had a cordial relationship with Dr. H.J. Easterman, as the latter notes in a letter to him that he hopes the meprobamate he recommended has the same striking effects on his wife as they do on him.[9]
His portrait indicates that he might have heterochromia iridum.
P. Walsh[]
P. Walsh was one of Murkoff's employees who worked at Mount Massive Asylum. He transcribed Chris Walker's patient status for Project Walrider. Walsh was at some point contacted by Richard Trager to process the asylum's former orderly, David Annapurna, as one of the hospital's mentally ill patients, stating that his forced subjugation to the treatment should continue until the time of his death.
Patrick Petryna[]

Patrick Petryna's Award
Multiple framed Murkoff's "Team Player" awards dedicated to Patrick Petryna can be found throughout the asylum. The character's name is a reference to Stefan Petryna, Red Barrels' senior animator.
Shirley Pierce[]
Shirley Pierce was one of Mount Massive's patients in the 1950s who was frequently subjected to Project MKUltra experimentation along with Misses Jackson. One of the documents states that she and Jackson were placed in a hypnotic state, where Jackson was to remain in a deep hypnotic sleep as Pierce attempted to wake or, failing that, kill her with a provided firearm (which was actually an unloaded pneumatic pistol). Pierce could not wake Jackson and fired the weapon and, having carried out the instructions to the letter, fell into a hypnotic sleep herself. After waking neither of them remembered any of the events prior to the hypnosis.
Pierce is mentioned to have a severe fear of firearms in any form; this is likely why the CIA chose her to use the gun, as they would probably want to test if there was a limit to what a MKULTRA subject would do if it went against their personal nature or beliefs. After the test she adamantly denied the sequence had even happened and refused to touch the firearm.
One of her diary entries note her often finding cuts on her arms without remembering where they came from. Bruce Newhouse mentioned that she suffers from "bedroom-inspired hysteria" suggesting that as the reason for her committal to the Asylum; this further reveals that she was married to a man who apparently left her for a younger woman like Jackson's husband had. Despite her involvement in the MKULTRA experiments she displays no knowledge of the project's existence, and seems to think the government men are simply there to assist the doctors.
Silas Knisely[]
Silas Knisely was part of Human Resources and Corrections Department from 1959 to 1966 at Mount Massive Asylum. Silas' portrait indicates that he has strabismus.
Thomas Wilter[]
Father Thomas Wilter worked as the asylum's priest during the mid 1960s. Wilter's portrait shows that he's blind in his right eye.
Wilfred Panzram[]
Wilfred Panzram was an Archbishop of the Denver Archdiocese working at Mount Massive Asylum during the late 1950s to early 1960s.
Zeichner[]
Zeichner is one of the doctors working for Murkoff. He gave Neil Wolfram Helen Granat's contact information. One of the documents mentions a Zeichner Facility, possibly named after him.
Outlast: Whistleblower[]
Andrew's Assistant[]
One of Murkoff's scientists. After Waylon Park was captured, he was taken to a Morphogenic Engine testing facility, where Andrew, with the help of his assistant, strapped the barely conscious Waylon into a chair. Andrew hits and sadistically mocks Waylon, but is interrupted by his assistant who informs him about Billy Hope's "lateral ascension", as the two leave in a hurry.
Unused dialogue suggests that Andrew's assistant was killed by a patient while pleading for mercy, claiming that he was only helping him out of fear for his own life.
Campbell[]
A security guard working for Murkoff. During the riots, Campbell helped out with evacuating the personnel and delivered messages over the PA, noting that a tactical team had been dispatched and warned the asylum's staff that they're authorized to shoot anyone on sight, including employees. The character wasn't included in the final version and the only evidence of his existence are a few scrapped voice lines found within the game's files.
Cooper[]
One of Murkoff's employees. After Waylon passes the cafeteria, a group of workers can be heard fleeing the compound during the emergency evacuation. One of them addresses Cooper, noting that he managed to escape after locking the door behind him.
Ethan Sriskandaraja[]
Ethan Sriskandaraja is one of Murkoff's employees. He transcribed Melissa Cho's lawsuit against the corporation.
F. Ford[]
F. Ford was one of the doctors working at Mount Massive Asylum. Neil Wolfram interviewed one of his patients and mailed Ford his diagnostics.
Father Clarke[]
Father Clarke was hired at Mount Massive Asylum to provide sermons to the hospital's patients in order to assure necessary mental stability of God and family and increase overall effectiveness of hypnotherapy. Bruce Newhouse expressed his gratitude for Clarke's contribution and wished to insure him of his safety by guaranteeing to increase chemical restraints or administer a lobotomy to patients if the Priest ever felt threatened by them.
Garett Snow[]
Garett Snow was a physician working at Murkoff Psychiatric Systems. While observing Project Walrider, he consulted Eddie Gluskin on February 14, 2013.
Graham[]
Graham is one of Murkoff's employees who worked at Mount Massive Asylum. He's briefly heard addressing his co-workers near an exit route during the emergency evacuation.
J. Billings[]
J. Billings is one of Murkoff's employees that reported to Kurt Vigalondo that other individuals who were within the asylum's proximity developed delusions revolving around the Walrider, leading him to question if its effects are somehow airborne.
Jane[]
Jane is the unseen significant other of an unnamed Murkoff scientist Waylon walks past on his way to the Engine. The scientist mentions he's heading back to Leadville to take her out on a date near a lake, noting that he hasn't seen her in three weeks.
Melissa Cho[]
Melissa Cho is a former employee at Mount Massive who filed a lawsuit against Murkoff regarding the termination of her contract at the Asylum based on gender selection.
Raul Roset[]
Raul Roset was one of the doctors who worked on Morphogenic therapy at Mount Massive Asylum. Roset described the engine as having "varying effects" on its patients, making the outcomes unpredictable. Waylon notes that the two often had conversations in the cafeteria about the engine's process, which Park dismissed as small talk at the time.
Samul[]
Samul was one of the doctors working at Mount Massive Asylum who, according to one of the documents, succumbed to his patients' madness.
Waylon's Colleague[]
One of Murkoff's IT workers who goes looking for Waylon after his colleagues were unable to get a hold of him, having previously paged Park three times. After finding him, the man informs Park that he's needed at Morphogenic Engine's control center, questioning why would Waylon be hiding out in the server room. Before departing, the employee worried about upsetting his superior.
Outlast: The Murkoff Account[]
Miles Upshur's Neighbor[]
An elderly woman living in Miles' neighborhood. Sometime after the Mount Massive Asylum Incident, The Pauls traveled to Upshur's residence in Washington, D.C. in hopes of finding some connection between Waylon Park and Simon Peacock. The two asked about Miles' whereabouts, to which the woman replied that he came home the previous night after being gone for some time, noting how the man in question riled up her dogs who were usually fond of him, but the Pauls expressed their disbelief.[10]
Outlast 2[]
Abbie Willaim[]
Abbie Willaim was a student at St. Sybil High School who played the guitar during her sophomore year at the 1995 school holiday concert.
Combover[]
Combover was a teacher at St. Sybil High School where he presumable taught history. He is mentioned in a note between Jessica and Lynn who complained about his lesson on the Thirty Years' War and his nasal spray with Jessica suggesting that they replace it with hot sauce.
Fathers of St. Sybil High School[]

portraits of all eight Fathers in Outlast 2
Much like the original Outlast, throughout St. Sybil portraits can be found, eight in total, all of Fathers. No names are given and Loutermilch's portrait isn't among them. Perhaps these are his predecessors. Note that all Fathers have birthmarks on their foreheads, although not as large and prominent as Loutermilch's.
In the original Outlast, all people who had a portrait had something wrong with their eyes.
Father Thomas Wilter's portrait in the original Outlast is quite similar to that of a Father in Outlast 2 (the third in the image, top row).
Ishmael[]

Ishmael ambushing Blake
Ishmael was a member of the Testament of the New Ezekiel. He appears in the Judges chapter, before the player enters the mines. He tells Blake that the Testament tried to get Lynn Langermann back to kill her child, but the Heretics killed most of them. He furthermore urges Blake to leave this place before fleeing himself. His fate is unknown, but it can be assumed that he either committed suicide via cyanide poisoning like the other Testament members or was murdered by the pursuing Heretics.
Ishmael is one of the few characters in the game who are never properly addressed. Examples for others being the villager Corgan and the Pilot of the helicopter the Langermanns arrived with. The game's sound files however refer to him as "Ishmael".
Jean Thomas Petty[]
Jean Thomas Petty was a student at St. Sybil High School who played the triangle during his junior year at the 1995 St. Sybil High School Holiday Concert. His name is a reference to Outlast series writer, JT Petty.
Johnny Wagner[]
Johnny Wagner was a student at St. Sybil High School who played the cymbal during his freshman year at the 1995 St. Sybil High School Holiday Concert.
Lydia Degan[]
Lydia Degan is a wealthy woman and a follower of a cult Testament of the New Ezekiel whose members lived communally on a luxury ranch owned by her. After dead bodies were found on her estate and arrests were made, Knoth led his followers off the ranch and into the Arizona desert.[11]
Pascal Morin[]
Pascal Morin was a special guest at the repent of the 1995/1996 Winter Concerts at St. Sybil High School. The character's name is a reference to Red Barrels' Pascal Beaulieu and Philippe Morin.
Patric E. Dubuc[]
Patric E. Dubuc was the Artistic Director of the St. Sybil Chorale at St. Sybil High School who directed the 1995/1996 Winter Concerts.
Pilot[]
The Pilot
The Pilot was hired to transport Blake and Lynn Langermann to a remote location inaccessible by the road in order to investigate a strange murder of a Jane Doe. The man was initially deterred to follow through with claims of a factory in the mountains, but was convinced by Lynn who offered a higher pay. Nearing their destination, a sudden flash in the sky disables the helicopter's engine, forcing the Pilot to attempt an emergency landing, which ends up crashing the aircraft. The pilot was later recovered by the locals who proceeded to tie him to a tree and flay and gut him alive. Blake notes that he never learned his name.
Tom[]

Tom
Tom was a member of the Testament of the New Ezekiel. He committed suicide sometime before Blake's arrival due to feeling remorse and grief for having sacrificed his children. His body is located in the first house Blake comes across in Temple Gate. A letter addressed to his wife Ellie, in which he gives reasons for his suicide, can be found on the table his head is resting on.
The Executioner[]

The Executioner
He appears as a large man with the executioner's hood and uses a machete as his weapon of choice to kill and carve his victims for the cult's rituals. He first appears in the house with Corgan, carving one of the corpses. Any direct contact the player makes with him will result in an instant death, He is later seen in the chapel standing next to the torture device. The executioner is last seen next to a pile of corpses having committed suicide with the rest of the followers via cyanide poisoning.
The Outlast Trials[]
Angelina Barbi[]

Angelina Barbi
Franco Barbi's step-mother and his father Salvatore Barbi's fourth wife. She engaged in a sexual relationship with Franco while indulging in his desire to be degraded and humiliated, one of Franco's few sources of arousal. Don Salvatore's discovery of Franco's affair with Angelina lead to Salvatore beating up his son in a fit of rage and exiling him from New Orleans.
In The Docks, Angelina Barbi became the namesake for the Trial Environment's main boat as a means to invoke psychological symbolism[12].
Buffalo Minotaur[]
The pseudonym of a serial killer who was active in Buffalo, New York. They were reported to have been at large since the 1920s, but significantly escalated their string of murders by the 1940s. Many of the Minotaur's victims were vagrants, prostitutes and Canadians. The Buffalo Minotaur appeared to have had strong connections to the wealthy proprietors of the Kress Chemical company, as it was discovered that the Minotaur used the Kress family estate as a burial ground for their numerous victims. As Kress Chemical are business partners of the Murkoff Corporation, Clyde Perry began investigating the Buffalo Minotaur in 1957, believing the case could be of substantial interest to the Sinyala Facility's work[13].
Damon Greene[]

Damon Greene
Amelia Collier's significant other. He was lured to Murkoff's Charitable Outreach Centers due to his struggle with alcoholism, unwittingly becoming a Reagent. It was Damon's mysterious vanishing from public life that primarily attracted Amelia to the Sinyala Facility, where she participates in the Trials to investigate Damon's disappearance[14].
After Amelia's escape from the bounds of the Trial Environments, Damon Greene was questioned about her whereabouts by Clyde Perry. Greene would eventually die during the interrogation when Perry conducted brutal torture whilst pressing harder for answers. Amelia would later discover Greene's mutilated remains in the facility's sewers after his body was loaded into the Biohazard Disposal Shuttles.
Doctor Jasper[]
A Sinyala doctor mentioned by Dr. Easterman during the redesign of Project Lathe. Jasper and Penfield's discoveries were noted to play a part in developing alternate Operant Conditioning methods for Project Lathe when numerous Reagents who succumbed to Skinner Man phenomena were noted to develop unnatural brain tumors[9].
Doctor Penfield[]
A Sinyala doctor mentioned by Dr. Easterman during the redesign of Project Lathe. Penfield and Jasper's discoveries were noted to play a part in developing alternate Operant Conditioning methods for Project Lathe when numerous Reagents who succumbed to Skinner Man phenomena were noted to develop unnatural brain tumors[9].
Doctor Jun Kusamura[]
Doctor Jun Kusamura is a Japanese scientist, who - like Wernicke - was a scientist of the Axis Powers, before World War II came to a close. According to Gottlieb, he used to be part of Unit 731 before he became an Agency Asset through Project Paperclip.
Kusamura does not speak English and required a translator to be present during all of his correspondences with A. Bradley Avellanos and the senior Sinyala Facility staff. He shows great interest in Wernicke's theories and work, requesting to have drinks with him[15]. Asking about whether he would be able to access Dihydrocodeine[16], the drug that Hermann Göring had in his possession upon his capture by the Allies, he displays a similar mindset to Wernicke, in which he combines a spiritual element to that of science.
In his short appearance in the little documentation that exists of him thus far, Kusamura is shown to be a jovial character, laughing along during his interview with Avellanos, regardless of the rather serious subject matter.
Easterman's Mother[]
The mother of Hendrick Joliet Easterman and Stanley Easterman. According to the Murkoff's background checks, Hendrick's mother was described as mentally disturbed and abusive. Though Hendrick and Stanley were diagnosed with localized alopecia during their strict upbringing, this was in reality a misdiagnosis, as their mother frequently ripped chunks of hair from their scalps as a form of punishment. She reportedly never disclosed the news of Stanley's prior suicide attempts to Hendrick[17].
Honey Island Jenny[]

Honey Island Jenny's mutilated corpse
A prostitute at the Gator Hook Lounge and frequent mistress of Franco Barbi. According to her colleagues, Honey Island Jenny was favored by Franco for her large stature and tough personality. Her association with Franco proved to be a promising lead for Clyde Perry. However, like several other prostitutes, Jenny was brutally murdered by Franco and her mutilated corpse was discovered by Perry. Before Perry could call the regional office, Franco, who had been hiding inside Jenny's torso, burst out of Jenny's corpse and attacked Perry.
Irene Easterman[]
The unseen ex-wife of Dr. H.J. Easterman, who he kept regular correspondence with during his research in Hong Kong. Hendrick repeatedly instructs Irene to burn his letters to her, a request that she apparently does not abide by as he found some hidden in her unmentionables[18]. Irene is also mentioned to be medicated with meprobamate, with the effects being so outstanding, that Hendrick trusts that it is treating Olivier W. Baranczyk well too.[9] Irene and Hendrick divorce sometime in 1959, something that the latter seems to not have any memories of until the topic is brought up during a meeting. Irene divorced her husband on account of his grotesque negligence, as they have not had any contact or correspondence for years.
Jerome Gillette[]
A Lackland Air Force instructor and World War II veteran, Jerome Gillette was a victim of an early attempt at sleeper programming by the Murkoff Corporation and the CIA. On July 6, 1954, Gillette murdered a family of five at a San Antonio farm residence in a fit of unprovoked violence. He was reported to have sexually assaulted a number of the family members and the farm's livestock. Following his crimes, Gillette was arrested after being found mingling with the family's pigs whilst naked and disoriented. He had no memory of committing his crimes, explaining that his last Sunday night was normal before he "blacked out" and woke up among the pigs[19].
The horrific crimes as a result of the botched mind control on Gillette were condemned by Jameson Lawler as he worked to make sure the crimes could not be traced back to Murkoff's and the CIA's activities[20]. A. Bradley Avellanos however is confident that the incident would be swiftly covered up "so long as the public has somebody to hang", sternly encouraging Lawler to think of future profits and improved brainwashing methods[21].
Moses Scarfiotti[]
Educated at Stanford University, and stationed in Bern as a Navy Engineer alongside Allen Dulles, Scarfiotti goes on to be recommended [22]to A. Bradley Avellanos to be the architect for the environments in Sinyala by Sidney Gottlieb. In his interview [23]with Avellanos, Scarfiotti is shown to be passionate about the psychology of architecture, using the environments at Disney Land, Anaheim as a prime example for how a space can be designed to dictate a persons wants, needs and feelings at any given time.
During his time working on Project Lathe, Scarfiotti is noticeably skeptical about Dr. H.J. Easterman's theories and assertions, treating him in an almost mocking manner when he tries to explain the concept of LATHE TWO to him. He also outrights tells him that talking to him is exhausting, as Easterman explains his doughnut symbolism[24]. Easterman himself also attributes the impending threat of the shutdown of his research after the failure of the first iteration of Lathe to Scarfiotti[25], noting that he is aware about just how incompetent Scarfiotti thinks he is.
Narciso Peñafiel[]

Narciso Peñafiel
A Cuban counter-revolutionary residing in Florida and an associate of Franco Barbi. When interviewed by Clyde Perry for information on Franco, Peñafiel disclosed Franco's participation in unauthorized raids on Cuban forces loyal to Fidel Castro. Although he worked closely with Franco, Peñafiel abhorred his violent activities, describing him as a "fucking psychopath" who collected nipples from his victims like trophies. He then informed Perry that Franco frequently visited prostitutes at the Gator Hook bar[26].
Private Raymous[]
An American prisoner of war and alleged victim of Korean brainwashing. During 1954 in Hong Kong, Hendrick Joliet Easterman would interview Raymous about the brainwashing methods of his captives multiple times whilst administering strong doses of Benzedrine. However, Easterman's interviews drove Raymous insane. He was frequently tormented by manifestations of the Skinner Man - who he dubbed as "The Doctor" or "Doctor Skinner". Private Raymous was reduced to an irreparable catatonic state, his face expressing permanent fear and pain akin to a Japanese hannya mask[27].
Reagent 0741[]
A male Reagent and presumed co-conspirator of Amelia's. His current status is not known.
Following the vanishing of his teammate, only known as Amelia, 0741 was taken in for questioning by Sinyala Staff. With him being the one who had initiated the trial, he was initially the only Reagent known to have been on her team, as the others records - including Amelia's - had at that point been erased. Over the course of his questioning, 0741 and his two other teammates were subjected to torture, but did not budge. 0741 only divulged her name to Easterman. It seems he - and perhaps other Reagents - regards Amelia as something of a prophetic figure.
Reagent 0877[]
Released on March 8th 1959, Reagent 0877 was spied on by Clyde Perry for 28 days, with said days being so uneventful, that he suggests more remote surveillance[28], and to be reassigned from this case. His normal behavior, as well as his acceptable performance during trigger tests, prompt an interest in 0877 by Paperclip Scientists, leading to him being brought to Los Alamos to be studied[29]. Afterward, Olivier W. Baranczyk asks for Dr. H.J. Easterman to send more Reagents like this to Los Alamos, with 0877's reception apparently being incredibly well[30]. However, he withholds information about a comment Dr. Wernicke made about 0877, and Easterman's research in tandem. Said quote being: "This Doctor Easterman may have made the most fruitful mistake in modern science since the creation of Penicillin.[31]" Olivier W. Baranczyk notes this comment to be highly provocative, especially since it was made in German, as to not let non German speakers know what was talked about.
Reagent 0877 was then inducted into the Sinyala Facility research team under the codename "Employee 0877" following Wernicke's research on 0877 at Los Alamos. Fellow staff members were encouraged to ignore 0877's eccentric behavior, declining hygiene and active Myiasis in his wounds[32]. Wernicke found 0877 was unusually cooperative with the therapy he received[33].
Reagent 0946[]
Released on June 15th, Reagent 0946 was spied on by Clyde Perry over the course of eight days, before he was neutralized[34] by Perry, following him stalking a young girl he met after a visit to the movies, and trying to break into her home. Over the course of his surveillance, 0946 displayed odd behavior, such as erratic mood swings[35], walking aimlessly through his residential area, and making comments about self perceived extra sensory abilities to a co-worker and the group of children the girl he would follow home succeeding this belonged to.
Reagent 1733[]
Reagent 1733 was a female Reagent who passed on in Sinyala on January 26, 1960, not achieving Rebirth. This particular Reagent's passing and its circumstance was of particular note for observing scientists, as she displayed peculiar behaviour: During a trial, she mutilated the back, buttocks and thighs of a deceased Reagent by carving the following words into said areas: "EVERYONE, GREED, REGRET, EVERYONE, GREED, OPORTUNITY, REGRET, EVERYO". She was unable to finish cutting in the final word, as she was viciously attacked by the Experimental Population, critically injuring her neck and jaw area. Upon her return to the Sleep Room , she was drugged and detained inside the evaluation corridor for questioning. While anaesthetized, she apparently profusely apologized to somebody named "Amelia". As one of the scientists questions her further about her motives, it is hard to make out what exactly she is saying due to the nature of the injuries she sustained, and upon being asked about who "Amelia" is, she answers that Amelia is "Nobody" and tries to explain herself, but her exact words are lost in translation. Her passing occurs around twenty minutes after this interaction, likely from the injuries she sustained.
Salvatore Barbi[]

Don Salvatore Barbi with a young Franco Barbi
Also known as "Figo Barbi" and "Sally Figs," Salvatore Barbi was the Don of the Martino Crime Family during the 1950s and 1960s. He engaged in drug trafficking, racketeering, extortion, gambling, and collaboration with the CIA.[36] Salvatore is the father of Franco Barbi and husband to Angelina Barbi. During Franco's upbringing, Salvatore did not show much affection towards his son, until Franco one day - at the tender age of twelve - murdered a man who owed Salvatore money. This was widely remembered to be the only time Salvatore ever showed true affection and pride toward him, because the Don otherwise treated Franco abusively and neglected him. Following the murder, he would appoint his son to work for the family business in the position of a button man and enforcer. Years later, after finding out about his now adult son's sexual affair with his fourth wife Angelina, he severely beat Franco before exiling him from New Orleans. An elaborate cover story for Franco's disownment was spun up after the fact to spare Salvatore's blushes about having been cuckolded by his own son.[37]
Salvatore's Employee[]

Salvatore's Employee
A member of the Martino Crime Family contacted by Clyde Perry for information on Franco Barbi. Despite being a hardened mobster, the employee was unnerved by much of Franco's depraved behavior. When interviewed by Perry, he complied with disclosing much of Franco's past activities, including Franco's poor upbringing, increasingly violent mob hits, murder of prostitutes, sexual impotency, affair with Angelina and exile from New Orleans. The employee then gave Perry a possible lead on Franco's whereabouts - Miami, as long as he still had ammunition and money to spend on prostitutes.
Stanley Easterman[]
Stanley Easterman was the brother of Dr. H.J. Easterman and served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Army with the Quartermaster Corps during the Korean War. Although he stated in his letter to his brother, Stanley never set foot on Korean soil[38]. Before his ultimate suicide, he had made two prior attempts to end his own life that Mother Easterman hid from Hendrick. Hendrick had long been under the impression that his brother's suicide was caused by Korean brainwashing, this suspicion inspiring his interest in studying mental conditioning. However, Stanley is described as "a total bag of cats, just like his and Hendrick's mother," according to Avellanos[39]. Upon Hendrick finding out about the way his suicide was exploited to nudge him into working as a CIA asset and subsequently a Murkoff researcher, he is still unable to come to terms with the fact that there may never have been any foul play involved in his passing in the first place.[40]
