AVELLANOS: We use every part of the buffalo.
EASTERMAN: Or minotaur.
AVELLANOS: (SIGHS)
EASTERMAN: I wouldn't want to risk losing any of their time dedicated lab research. They... her especially. Her facility with chemicals borders on the genius. Have you tried the bufotenin she makes?
AVELLANOS: I'm trying to cut down on mental patient urine. They won't be harmed. Kusamura seems to think they'll be able to administer the dosage of Kress Precursor more effectively in person.
EASTERMAN: I'm fully committed to the notion of inserting them in the Trials, it was the intention from the beginning. The methods we could develop on secondary political influence, the obedience structures... But it would have been madness not to delay, considering her chemical talents.
AVELLANOS: God, if we can show a confluence of narcotic exposure and political sway, we can milk the Agency for as much as we want. And it wont't[sic] cut into the twins' chemical experiments. Kusamura's been observing; he assures me they spend an hour at most in actual lab work.
EASTERMAN: How are they possibly filling the rest of the time?
AVELLANOS: Scratching itches the other can't reach.
